Protests - Rome, Italy

Kilometres of streets were shut down to allow Italians to wander the central streets of Rome, protesting austerity measures and privatisation of publicly owned assets. Defying clear DFAT warnings we wandered with the protesters who were all peaceful, colourful, enthusiastic and fairly often.. more than a little tipsy.
